Applications Engineer

Applications Engineer.
Reports To:
Engineering Manager.
Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an individual that has ambition to learn and grow within our organizationIf you have some 3D software experience, and would like to learn and train with a talented team, feel free to applyWe would enjoy speaking with you! The Applications Engineer will create component drawings & part instructions from customer supplied drawings for use in our manufacturing processAlso, create drawings for the Purchasing Department as requiredAttention to detail and customer specificationsan understanding and the ability to translate assembly drawings and layoutsAs a member of the Engineering Department, interpersonal communications are critical for working as a member of the team.
Requirements:
Convert customer designs into FAB drawings & develop work instructions per our manufacturing process.
3D modeling background.
ERP software experience not required but preferred.
Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to build good working relationships within the company.
Proficient in computer skill and three-dimensional design technology.
Demonstrated ability to be accurate and consistent with details.
Skill in visualizing and interpreting requirements.
Organization skills for maintaining product flow.
3D modeling background required; SolidWorks preferred.
Functions:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Prepare Quotes & drawings per Customer SpecificationsReview the project and make sure the expectations are understoodPrepare drawing details for purchasing all subcontracted components.
Create details from layouts or create assembly drawings for components as required for production.
Assist creating Routings and drawings as requireddrawings have revision levels and specified tolerances that match customer requirements.
Make corrections on drawings as directed by the Quality department - revision levels for all pictures (old or new).
Work on special engineering projects as directed by the Manager.
